The City of Tampa seeks an innovative Housing and Community Development Director to lead the City’s affordable housing and redevelopment initiatives. This role offers the chance to significantly impact housing affordability, homelessness outreach, and urban development across eight Community Redevelopment Districts.
As the Housing & Community Development Director, you will oversee daily operations, manage a dedicated team, and collaborate with key stakeholders. Your leadership will drive strategic initiatives, policy development, and program management aligned with the city's housing goals.
We seek a candidate with extensive knowledge of housing regulations, public financing, and urban planning. At least five years of experience in housing and community development, including three years in a supervisory role, is required. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential to succeed.
