Annual salary range: $91,332 - $110,976 DOQ

Inyo County, in the beautiful high-desert and alpine environments of the Eastern Sierra Slope, is seeking a capable professional to fill the vital role of Deputy Director for Public Health and Prevention. The Health and Human Services Department (HHS) is specifically focused on areas such as Child/Adult Protective Services, Public Health, Aging Services, Behavioral Health and Social Services. Under the direction of the Health and Human Services Director, the Deputy Director initiates, organizes, directs and coordinates the design and development of multiple public health and prevention programs including related client services through a trauma informed lens.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in managing HHS programs with a record of continuous improvement. Competitive candidates will have at least five years of progressively responsible/clinical health experience in a health care field, including at least one year in public sector work, and at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
