Located just north of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, rugged and rural Sierra County (pop. 3,000), a mountain bike mecca and home to the Downieville Classic, is seeking a resourceful, collaborative, hands-on information systems professional to mold this newly created position. This is an exceptional opportunity to serve as a key strategic partner in advancing the effectiveness of County operations.
Ideal candidates will be results-driven professionals experienced in assessing IS functions and managing projects. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator who is able to build solid working relationships with the Board of Supervisors, peers and staff. Candidates should possess a commitment to accountability and responsive, high quality customer service. This team player will possess the interpersonal skills and professional demeanor necessary to successfully collaborate with multiple stakeholders to find workable solutions to information system challenges in this small, rural county. A Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible supervisorial or management experience is preferred, but not required.
