The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) is Marin County’s transportation authority and locally designated Congestion Management Agency. TAM plays a major role in improving the quality of life for Marin County residents and developing and maintaining the economic viability of the local region by funding transportation projects and programs that improve mobility, reduce congestion, and provide a transportation system with more options for those living, working, visiting and traveling in Marin County. The FY19 budget includes 13 full time positions and almost $40 million in revenue.
TAM seeks an experienced transportation management professional to serve as its next Executive Director. The successful candidate should bring solid experience in capital improvement planning and provide an unbiased opinion for achieving the correct balance of transportation modes. The successful candidate will have an articulate and transparent method to make planning concepts understandable for the average resident. A transportation management background is preferred as well as knowledge of local transportation funding, proven leadership in mobility management, and high ethical standards as a steward of public funds.
