The City of Tucson is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as its next Director of Housing and Community Development. Located in the natural beauty and unsurpassed climate of Arizonaís Sonoran Desert, the City of Tucson is a progressive organization that has been recognized as one of the MegaTrend cities of the 21st Century. Reporting to an Assistant City Manager, the Director is responsible for the management of a FY 2019 $91 million budget and a staff of approximately 150 employees.

The Director will oversee the administration of HUD programs to assist residents of Tucson and Pima County in improving their housing options, neighborhoods, and lives. The ideal candidate is experienced and knowledgeable about housing and community issues, but also is an effective communicator, trusted partner, and approachable leader. A Bachelorís degree and seven years of progressive management experience is required.
