The City of San Diego is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as its Deputy Executive Director of the Commission on Police Practices. This is a new position in a newly created department of the City! The Deputy Executive Director’s principal function is to coordinate direction and policy decisions in close collaboration with the Commission on Police Practices. The Deputy Executive Director is expected to be a seasoned executive who is comfortable making decisions and stepping in for the Executive Director when necessary and working with diverse communities in San Diego.

Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, they should have 4 years of full-time professional level administrative, managerial and administrative experience, which includes proficiency in Microsoft applications, including TEAMS, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
