The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) contains 73 parks, 55 miles of San Francisco and Delta shorelines, 1,330 miles of park trails, and a regional green trail transportation network of 250 miles of paved trails all within its 125,000 acres, making it the largest regional Park District in the United States. The EBRPD has a diverse portfolio of parks, from shorelines, lakes, mountains, forests, wilderness areas, swim facilities, golf courses, and cultural sites. These parks reach across two counties, which include 33 urban cities.

The East Bay Regional Park District Acquisition, Stewardship & Development Division is based out of Park District headquarters in Oakland California. The Assistant General Manager for Acquisition, Stewardship & Development reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing approximately 86 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees and a $28 million operating budget as well as managing parkland acquisition, environmental compliance, interagency planning coordination and trails acquisition and design, construction, and development. The Acquisition, Stewardship & Development Division manages these duties through four distinct units. This position directs and coordinates the District's efforts to supervise program managers who individually exercise specialized responsibilities for parkland acquisition, environmental compliance, interagency planning coordination, regional trails development, and design and construction.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in business, real estate, community planning, finance, environmental science/engineering, park and recreation administration, public administration, or closely related field; and eight (8) years of experience in real estate law and finance, land acquisition, acquisition planning, community planning, environmental compliance, and/or parks management, three of which must have been at the senior management level. A Master’s degree in business, real estate, community planning, finance, environmental science/engineering, or a closely related field may be accepted as an equivalent to a maximum of three of the require eight years of experience. The District will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
