Emergency Operations Manager
Annual salary range: $84,631 - $103,680

Known for its close-knit, community-oriented rural/suburban environment, Sutter County (pop. 96,000) is centrally located, with the county seat of Yuba City just 40 miles north of Sacramento. The County’s FY ’17-’18 total budget is $308.1 million and includes 1,001 FTEs. The County is supported by 20 departments and provides a broad variety of services such as law enforcement, development services, general services, human services, public works, and veteran’s services. The County is seeking an experienced and proven emergency management leader who brings a reputation of strategic thinking, sound management, community building and organizational commitment. The successful candidate will be creative, adaptable, and possess the ability to think on their feet. Ideal candidates will be strong public speakers with a customer service orientation and a strong community presence.

Completion of core course work from an accredited college or university leading to a degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field, and three years of increasingly responsible related management experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities is expected.
